My name is Katharine Moonflower and I am the designer, fabricator, stone cutter, photographer, digital editor, human resource manager and everything in between behind Earthly Ancestors Adornment.
My focus is on quality designs that are made to last a lifetime, or longer. I use ethically sourced stones when I am not cutting them myself, and recycled silver.
As early as I can remember, I've had my hands in the earth and pockets full of rocks and bones. I love rock hounding and exploring and I've dug out a variety of stones including carnelian, jasper, quartz, agate, rhodonite, petrified wood and sapphires. It’s always an adventure.
The name Earthly Ancestors resonates with me because I have always had a kindred connection to minerals.
Some minerals take millions of years to form within the Earth, all while observing and absorbing the beginning and ending of many cultures, the essence of nature and human kind, the movements of our civilization.
They were here before us, and they will live on once we are all expired.
My inspiration comes from my connection to the earth, my travels, dreams and love of anything ancient and esoteric.
I believe that jewelry is much more than an expression of accessory. It's sacred and powerful and for many ancient cultures from the beginning of time it has been used as a tool for protection, divination and healing.
I weave my love, intention and gratitude for our beautiful planet and all its mysteries into each piece I create.
